Christmas is right around the corner and to celebrate the festive season, Brent Cross Shopping Centre has announced that its Winter Festival will return for the second and best year yet.

From the 27th November until 3rd January, Brent Cross will transform into a festive Christmas wonderland. With the long-awaited return of Christmas celebrations following lockdown, the Winter Festival will host a variety of attractions, including one of London’s largest undercover ice rinks, where fans of all ages can skate and glide without worrying about the weather.

With the help of Santa’s little elves, the festival’s light up castle will also transform into Santa Claus’s Magical Grotto where children will be able to experience the magic of sharing their secret Christmas wishes with Santa. However, the best is yet to come as Santa comes bearing gifts all the way from the North Pole with a fully loaded sleigh. Rest assured, there is a present for everyone as he caters to children of all ages (if they’ve been good of course)!

Families can enjoy shared time together after so much time apart by watching the hourly light show in the rustic castle, or have some fun on a firmly established favourite, the giant observation wheel offering views across London and a state-of-the-art LED show. With an array of rides from the Double Decker Carousel and Reindeer Ride for younger guests, to the adrenaline-pumping Yeti and high-speed XXL swing ride for the ‘big kids’, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Don’t forget to grab a drink at the festive bar, which serves a variety of hot and cold seasonal drinks including Mulled Wine, and watch some entertainment to keep the seasonal celebrations going.

Chris Barnes, General Manager at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, said “Christmas is always such a special time of year for Brent Cross, and with last year proving so hard for families to not be together, we are so excited for the North London community to reunite and celebrate the season with our magical Winter Festival, including the mythical light up castle and undercover ice rink. We are proud to be able to host this unique and exclusive experience for our shoppers.”

Entry to the Winter Festival costs only £3, and it is advisable to book tickets in advance to guarantee entry on the Brent Cross website. Ride tokens are also available for purchase via the website and on the day at the event. Tickets for the ice rink cost £17 for adults and £15 for kids, and the Grotto tickets are £10 per person.*

The Winter Festival opening hours are 12pm – 9pm Monday-Sunday during holidays, and during term time 4pm-9pm Monday-Friday, and 12pm-9pm Saturday and Sunday.
