It feels as if last season has only just finished but in just over a week’s time the fixtures for the 2022-23 EFL season will be released.

This winter’s World Cup in Qatar has affected schedules and meant an earlier start than usual with the new season to begin on the weekend of July 30 and 31.

With that in mind, Mirror Football has delved into how much it will cost loyal supporters of all 72 clubs to watch their team this season, looking at the cheapest and most expensive adult season ticket prices.

And when it comes to the Championship, for the second season running the cheapest place to go and regularly watch games is Loftus Road. QPR’s cheapest season ticket is on offer for just £235 – equating to just £10.20 per league game. Other notable Championship clubs offering savvy deals are Birmingham City (£250) and Cardiff City (£249).

The only other second-tier sides to offer an adult ticket for under £300 are Reading and Hull City, with the latter running a membership scheme encouraging fans to pay a monthly charge rather than one lump sum.

The most expensive ticket to be found in the division belongs to both Bristol City and Middlesbrough. Each club has season tickets on sale at an eye-watering £675 for seats in central locations within their respective stadiums.

Boro also have the highest starting price when it comes to purchasing a new ticket, with their early bird scheme having now passed. Adult fans wishing to purchase a season ticket from fresh must fork out a minimum of £514 – an average of £22 per game.

In League One there are two clubs that offer value for money. Fleetwood Town are one of a clutch of EFL sides that offer memberships as opposed to standard season ticket prices

This gives more flexibility to fans and allows them to spread payment over a 12-month period. An adult seat in the standing section at Highbury equates to just £168 per season – or just £7.30 per match. Fellow third-tier side Morecambe offers the cheapest ticket in the entire EFL at just £150 in the standing section. This works out at a bargain £6.50 per game.

In League Two, Hartlepool’s starting price of £380 is the dearest in the division whilst Leyton Orient fans can pay up to a staggering £729 for a season ticket in their Legends’ Lounge. Rochdale and Bradford’s cheapest tickets both come in at under £200.

The most expensive season ticket we found in our research is to be a regular in the Executive Suite at Peterborough, where it will cost you £869 for the privilege – equating to £37 per game.
