FABIO CARVALHO to Liverpool is a “done deal” after an £8million transfer was agreed with Fulham.
The Premier League club missed out on the Portuguese wonderkid in January.
But according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have finally got their man.
A medical is said to have already been completed with Fulham’s permission.
And the fee is stated at £5m plus £2.7m add ons, with a sell-on clause included.
The contract is believed to be until 2027 but there is NO plan to loan Carvalho back to Fulham.
Romano, who added it is a “done deal”, reported that an announcement will be made in May.
Carvalho’s contract is set to expire in the summer, meaning he could have joined for free.
But the two clubs had agreed a deal in the winter window but it collapsed after contracts were signed too late.
Liverpool appear to have honoured their word and will go through with signing Carvalho for a fee.
The player is said to have already visited Liverpool’s training ground and met manager Jurgen Klopp.
Fulham are currently top of the Championship and heading back to the Premier League, as they sit nine points ahead of Bournemouth.
Carvalho has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in his 31 games this season.
