GEORGINA Rodriguez has shared an inspirational Mother’s Day message after the tragic death of her and Cristiano Ronaldo’s baby.
The mother shared her uplifting words on Instagram, with the first Sunday of May marking Mother’s Day in her native Spain.
Her message comes only days after she and Ronaldo shared the news of the tragic death of their newborn son.
Georgina’s words on Instagram translate as: “To those who are, to those who were, to those who wanted to and could not be, to those who try, to those who, without being so, act as such, to those who have an instinct, to those who decide not to be… all of us, creators of life and bonds… happy mother’s day.”
Georgina’s optimistic message comes a day after Ronaldo shared a heartwarming picture of him cradling his baby daughter.
The Manchester United star also posted a photo of his family on Instagram following the death of his baby.
In the caption, he wrote: “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us.
“We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures.
“Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.
“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”
The football world has supported the family after their loss.
Liverpool fans held a minute of applause and sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for Ronaldo and his family in the game against Man United last month.
And Real Madrid fans also showed their support for their former player Ronaldo.
