A HOLIDAY park near Skegness has revealed their brand new £1.5m outdoor heated lido – along with an adults-only cocktail bar.
They are part of a £7 million expansion at Tattershall Lakes Holiday Park in Lincolnshire.
While guests are asked to arrive “swim-ready”, changing facilities, toilets and showers are all open, along with the pool itself.
Seating and lounger are also available around the lido, although these are unlikely to be popular as the temperature dips.
The new cocktail bar and lounge, called the Giggling Goose, offers unique cocktails and alcoholic drinks to adults only, for a respite from younger guests.
The new fancy additions to the holiday park follow a £5.5 million renovation last year which included an indoor Splashzone as well as sky bar Bar 49 overlooking the lakes and private beach.
More accommodation was also included, with hot tub lodges and safari tents. – joining the Rockstar lodge with a king-size bed, secret TV, private hot tub and standalone bathtub in the bedroom.
Already on-site are six lakes, with water activities from fishing to jet-skiing and water-skiing while the kids have activity play zones and golf courses to stay entertained.
The rest of the resort is open including the Spitfire Bar and Propeller Bar & Kitchen, as well as the outdoor cinema, arcade and high ropes course – the only part of the park closed is the sauna and gym.
The parks are also not taking cash, and will only take card payment, and only groups of six or less, unless in one household or a support bubble, can stay together.
Carl Castledine, Away Resort Holiday’s chief executive, told local media: “The new pool in particular is the icing on the cake and we’re so glad our guests are now getting to enjoy it.”
